Volunteering
Why not share your gifts and talents?
We provide a range of opportunities for volunteers so whatever your abilities there's something for everybody to get involved in, and we can find a rewarding opportunity for you to support our work with disabled people and carers across the County Borough.
Might you be interested in helping us with any of the following?
• Manning our Information line
• Helping us in the office
• Helping us run out reach sessions in local communities
• Delivering Publicity and Newsletters across the borough
• Helping promote the organisation at awareness raising events
Volunteering: What does it mean for you?
Volunteering for Disability CAN DO is enjoyable and fulfilling – we know this because that’s what our volunteers tell us, they give a little and they gain a lot!
By volunteering, you can:
• Meet new people who have similar interests to you
• Learn new skills
• Use your experience and existing skills for valuable work
• Make a contribution to your local community
• Get job and college references
• Gain work experience for your CV
• Make a positive difference to the people around you
